Interesting. It’s not dated.
….We thank Attorney General Jeff Sessions for his service, and wish him well! A permanent replacement will be nominated at a later date.

Matthew Whitaker, Chief of Staff to Attorney General Jeff Sessions at the Department of Justice, will be the Acting Attorney General of the United States. Effective tomorrow, Whitaker is overseeing the Russia investigation, replacing Rosenstein. Whitaker now has the power to fire Mueller “for cause”. In the past, Whitaker has publicly stated that Mueller has exceeded his authority.
On the other hand…
New acting AG Matt Whitaker in 2017: "I don't see any current reason or good reason that Bob Mueller shouldn't stay in that special counsel role … There is no honest person that sits in the world of politics and in the world of law that can find anything wrong with Bob Mueller" pic.twitter.com/EhDgMFuEkf

.@DanaBashCNN says on air she just got off the phone with Giuliani, who told her the Mueller probe has gone on so long, he can't believe Trump would end it now

Holy shit….
I asked a political operative with the White House's ear if Kobach for AG is likely. His response: "Yes."

Our new acting attorney general Matthew Whitaker thinks Marbury v. Madison — which established the principle of judicial review — is one of the worst decisions in the Supreme Court's history. SERIOUSLY. pic.twitter.com/7c9ZlQ643I

Trump allies are deeply perplexed by his move against Sessions, given that it all but guarantees an investigation by House judiciary.

But what a minute, Batman! Is this a conflict of interest?
Whaddaya know: Mark Whitaker, now in charge of the Mueller investigation, chaired the 2014 campaign of Sam Clovis, a grand jury witness in that investigation. https://t.co/NzUkgjwOp1
