Because I feel like it, here are a bunch of videos of people gaining (or regaining) their hearing for the first time, thanks to cochlear implants.

First off, Nikki Buck, a 32-year-old from Perth, Australia, who began losing her hearing when she was about 18 years old. She’d grown up in the hearing world with hearing parents, so it was a mystery to everyone as to why her hearing was deteriorating. Nearly 10 years later she decided to get a cochlear implant to help her hear once again.
